Appointments During COVID 19

We know it will be a bit different than a previous health appointment. These procedures are in place to protect us all. Here is what to expect:

  • Your practitioner will be wearing a protective face mask and masks will be provided and strongly encouraged for your own use and for the safety of our staff. You can also wear your own.
  • We will continue to be extra-vigilant with hand washing and sanitizing procedures for all staff and patients. The clinic disinfecting and cleaning schedule (door handles, countertops, equipment) will also be increased.
  • Before arrival you will need to answer the COVID19 Self Assessment Questionnaire. If you answered yes to any of these questions please stay home. Cancellation fees will not be applied for late notice.
  • If you arrive and have signs of illness you will be given a mask, asked to go home and self isolate and advised to call 811. Cancellation fees will be waived.
  • Please do not come more than five minutes ahead of your appointment, idle long in the clinic afterwards or bring any companions unless essential (i.e. translator, parental guardian). There will be only minimal seating in the waiting area.
  • To minimize use of public restrooms, please use facilities at home or work. Our building has increased its cleaning schedules but the facilities are still used by many people in a day. Washrooms are by card-key access and we will sanitize the key after use.
  • On arrival and after hand sanitizing and clearing health and travel questioning you will be shown your treatment room.
  • Please use respiratory hygiene and sneeze or cough into your elbow, shoulder or a tissue and immediately wash your hands or hand sanitize.
  • We request you make your next appointment with your practitioner in the treatment room or online and not with the front desk staff to minimize time in the clinic common area.
  • We also ask that payment occurs online or with a securely stored credit card. The point of sale machine will still be available for transactions. Please avoid use of cash.

Thank you for coming to see us and we appreciate the understanding of our ‘new normal’ for patient interaction.

As per Alberta’s COVID19 Relaunch Strategy and in conjunction with guidelines from our provincial regulatory organizations and the Chief Medical Health Officer we are ready to open for in-person and sport medicine care Monday May 4th. Massage therapy will be available later in Phase Two of the strategy.

It is our primary objective to keep everyone safe: our patients, our staff and our community. Hand hygiene, face masking, frequent cleaning protocols and physical distancing (other than with your health practitioner) will be observed.
Virtual Session treatment options will be continued for your preference and convenience.
Please call 587-318-1600 or email info@movementsportsclinic.ca if you have questions or would like to arrange an appointment.
You can also book online for in-person and virtual physiotherapy treatments at www.movementsportsclinic.janeapp.com
