Nicole Huellbusch, Physiotherapist

Nicole graduated with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy through the University of Alberta, where she also previously completed a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education. Since then, Nicole has completed additional training in manual therapy, muscle mobilization techniques and she is certified in Biomedical Dry Needling. Nicole is also currently pursuing training in Neurokinetic Therapy.

Nicole grew up near Camrose, Alberta, where she returned after finishing her physical therapy program. Here, she gained valuable experience working with a variety of clientele in a multi-disciplinary rural clinic setting, including pre- and post-surgical patients, motor vehicle accident clients, Alberta Junior Hockey League players, and University of Alberta Augustana varsity athletes, as well as the general public.

Nicole moved to Calgary in December 2016, where she has worked intensively with pediatrics and clients with repetitive stress and postural injuries. She also has a special interest in knee injuries after having experienced a traumatic injury of her own. Nicole has recently joined the team at Movement Sports Clinic and she is looking forward to helping elevate her clients to their maximum potential.

Nicole is committed to providing evidence-based care for her clients, making patient education a key component in her assessments and treatments. Therapeutic exercise coupled with manual therapy and dry needling are also central to her treatment approach. Building rapport and trust with clients is important to Nicole so that she can better collaborate to reach the client’s goals.

Nicole likes to keep active through various activities, including kettlebell and weight training, barre, and exploring with her dog. She also enjoys traveling, as well as spending time with her family and friends.
